Kareena Kapoor Khan is back in action, showcasing how to incorporate a bridal collection element without upstaging the bride. At her cousin Aadar Jain's wedding, Kareena opted for a breezy kaftan from Sabyasachi's ‘Heritage Bridal’ collection of 2023, leaving out the dupatta.
The inky blue kaftan featured a flattering slit with botanical prints, inspired by the designer's love for the Sundarbans mangroves. Handcrafted panels of gold zardozi work on the sleeves and hem were complemented by the Atelier's signature sequins around the borders.
The kaftan is part of a collection inspired by the lively spirit of bustling bazaars and flea markets set against the backdrop of aging towns and havelis. This old-world charm is a hallmark of Sabyasachi's craftsmanship, evident in his sorbet-hued, nature-inspired jewels. Kareena Kapoor Khan also chose substantial earrings featuring carnelian, black spinel, firoza, and the Sabyasachi tiger emblem in molded gold. Complementing her usual soft kohl and nude glossy lips, Khan's look was a standout amidst a sea of pastels and bright shararas, exuding both craftsmanship and regality.
